Glenn Tyranski is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in New York. Mr. Tyranski is in the Activism and M&A Solutions practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment.

Mr. Tyranski brings extensive experience in financial regulation, compliance, risk assessment, auditing issues, corporate governance, crisis management, disclosure and shareholder and board of director engagement. Drawing on his professional background, Mr. Tyranski brings to the Activism and M&A Solutions group his many relationships and experience in working with hundreds of public and private companies on various capital markets readiness issues including listings related compliance challenges, corporate reporting, financial restatements as well as board governance initiatives and best practices.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Tyranski was an Executive Director in Ernst & Young’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice supporting the policy and governance, as well as transaction readiness efforts. Previous to his Ernst & Young role, Mr. Tyranski was Senior Vice President, Financial Compliance at the New York Stock Exchange for 18 years. In this role, he was the co-Chair of the NYSE’s Listings Operations Committee, which provided review and authorization of all global listings and compliance issues in accordance with stock exchange and SEC regulations. Mr. Tyranski managed the financial oversight of all global listing candidates as well as the Exchange’s entire listed company client base. He consulted and provided oversight on a range of listings, disclosure, compliance, reporting, governance and policy issues with various issuers, external parties and advisers in the capital markets. Mr. Tyranski began his career as a senior manager in the assurance practice at KPMG.

Mr. Tyranski holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Computers and Information Systems from King’s College. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants. Mr. Tyranski serves on the board of directors for various Not-for-Profit organizations and is an active committee member at King’s College, Long Island Children’s Museum, Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation and Financial Executives International’s New York City Chapter.

Mr. Tyranski has been a speaker, moderator or panelist at varying organizations and societies throughout his career on issues surrounding regulations, disclosure and capital markets. He has also had articles published in various trade and industry periodicals. He is also an active member of Financial Executives International, National Association of Corporate Directors and National Investor Relations Institute.
